Worn-out urban textures are considered vulnerable and unsafe points, posing a serious threat to sustainable urban development. These areas, due to aging infrastructure, lack of urban services, and absence of recreational facilities, have lost their attractiveness for residence and activity. The aim of this research is the revitalization of the worn-out textures of Shush city with a future-oriented approach. The research method is descriptive and analytical with a future studies perspective. The statistical populations of this study include two groups: organizational and academic experts. The members of the population were purposively sampled, with 25 qualified individuals selected. Data collection tools include interviews and questionnaires. For structural analysis and calculations, SmartPLS software and the cross-impact matrix analysis method were used. According to the results, out of 24 sub-components within 5 main categories, these factors significantly influence the revitalization process and are also highly susceptible to influence. The factors are categorized as follows:Social factors: social identity and cohesion, social justice, social capital.Physical factors: structural resilience, spatial organization, technical infrastructure, environmental quality, design and architecture.Economic factors: investment and economic development, employment and income, costs and financial resources.Environmental factors: environmental pollution, green and ecological spaces, energy management, environmental sustainability.Cultural factors: cultural identity and heritage, social and cultural capital. These key axes have been identified as crucial in the revitalization of Shush’s worn-out textures and require strategic attention and planning.
